Well he got out Tuesday morning and I'm sorry to say that Wednesday night he left my mom's house and hasn't been back, won't answer any of our calls, even his daughter's. We have heard from a few of the people that know him and he is using again. I am done with him, yes I will always love him because he is my brother but that doesn't mean I have to like him. I told him and myself the last time he went back that I wasn't going to visit him and I finally did two weeks before he got out. When he goes back this time, I will not go see him and my mom says the same thing. He only wants us in his life when he is in prison because his so called friends won't go see him. The bad thing is that if we try and tell him what he is doing to his kids it only makes him use and stay away more. I am not going to try and help someone that only cares about themselves and not give a fuck about their kids. His daughter told my mom to kick him out and that he doesn't deserve to live there. She also told me that she hated him and her mom because she is the same way but at least their mom tries to be in their life. My brother is a junkie and always will be, sucks to say this but the only way he will be sober is if he is in prison or dead and one of them is just around the corner, and I hope and pray that it is not death. Just pisses me off that he could do this to his kids. I'm just thankful that my mom and dad have custody of them. Sorry for being long winded, just needed to vent.

I had a friend that was addicted to heroine, it got to the point that he had no choice to keep doing it because of the physical addiction. When he finally started to want to come clean, he ended up in the hospital because of the shock that his body went through. Its true, someone has to want to get clean in order for them to become it. And others are so stuck in that world that they don't know the difference. Have you ever asked him why he uses? Behind every drug addiction is a broken mind and emotional turmoil. Almost always anyways. I think condemning someone and telling them how wrong they are is probably the wrong route to take. Finding out the reasoning behind their actions can help re-route them in the right direction. But it ultimately comes down to them wanting to be clean in the end. Sorry to hear that hope things get better!
